• Insects

3 out of 4 animals of our planet are insects. Divided in 1 million of described species, and several more millions to still be categorized by science, they are indicators of biodiversity like no other. Their adaptation to all diets gives them a preponderant place both in ecological balance and in economic life: 70% of flowering plants in the world depend upon pollination carried out by insects. The scientific community considers that 70 to 97% of insect species have not yet been discovered. As a consecuence of the pressure of human activities on the environment it can be assumed that many will have disappeared even before they have been described.
